Real Weddings: Vintage on the Marsh
We were so excited when we got the images of Maxi and John’s wedding. Maxi was so easy to work with, designing her wedding was a piece of cake! Their color palette was composed of bright yellows and jewel-toned blues. It was the perfect color choice for a vintage inspired beach wedding.
The ceremony was held in the beautiful courtyard of the Debordieu Clubhouse. Maxi’s bouquet was comprised of garden roses, freesia, craspedia, ranunculus, and pin-cushion proteas in all shades of yellows and creams. Custom fabricated wooden crosses were aged by Blossoms and placed at the foot of the altar arrangements. Maxi and John saved these crosses as a keepsake of the wedding. The altar arrangements were left loose and airy to ensure that the beautiful marsh background was not blocked from the views of the guest.
Maxi and John’s reception took place outside at the Debordieu Beach Club. The reception was filled with lots of cute details by the wonderful Della Ramsey of Della Ramsey Weddings. We created a custom bar painted in a sandy cream with fabric inserts hand-picked by Della. A candy display of apothecary jars filled with yellows was made complete by a large arrangement of pom poms provided by Maxi and her mother.
This wedding was one party you didn’t want to miss! The details were great, and the family was so much fun! Maxi definitely got her wish for a vintage styled wedding!
